S’Lanter were creatures that were originally supposed to be in the first Fallout game . These creature were mutated raccoon , but they were also bipedal and intelligent enough to speak​​​​​​ , much like Rocket Raccoon in the Marvel Universe . In secret plan , these creature were theorise to be descended from pairs of experiment that get away and were never find .

Fallout 4 has seven Vaults throughout the Commonwealth for the player to discover and explore , each hold their own awful Vault - Tec secret .

The Professor ’s examination seems to be like many of the other experiments , so these came from a like construct .

Also inFallout 2were Brain and Keeng Ra’at , two intelligent jetty rats who had their own cult in a ghoul townspeople . The player can interact with them and even complete a pursuit for them , but neither shows up ever again . All of these are somewhat giddy , but nothing like the cartoonish idea of a sentient raccoon . However , the fact that none of them have come out since seems to suggest that they did not go over well , but that might have been unlike if the idea was stick in in the first game .

The Fallout Franchise Could Have Looked Completely Different

Instead of the much more serious and obscure version of the macrocosm that players let , with the accession of the S’Lanter , the whole series could have had a light , more sarcastic tone from the beginning . The S’Lanter could have acted more as comic relief , or had a adult front . It also could have change how the radiation effects worked , if alternatively , it set aside more animals and creature to develop into level-headed beings .

On the other hand , despite the cartoonish appearing of the S’Lanter , the story could have taken it in an even darker tone . They could have taken themselves very gravely , gathering a following of creatures that had been experiment on and rising up against the humans that had done that to them . The combining of a singular , intelligent creature versus a dark storyline has been used in many dissimilar pieces of fiction to capital effect , whichFalloutcould have done as well .
