The show , Archeris one of the slickest comedies around and has been since it first come in 2009 , having air out an impressive 10 seasons , with an11th on hold . The James Bond spoof is know for its selfish but lovable type , iconic repetition gags and having a dialogue game 2d to none .
But the law of nature of in truth large numbers , plus how high they coiffe the bar in time of year 1 , cause the show ’s quality to falter occasionally and then start to slide . s5e6 - Archer Vice: Baby Shower (7.8/10)
In this episode , the gang of disgraced operatives puts on a child shower for Lana . Archer gives Woodhouse some money and tells him to lay up the party , then right away leaves with Pam to locate Kenny Loggins to do at the party . It turn out to be a more complex labor than he first thought .
The joke is that Archer assumes Lana likes Kenny Loggins just because he does , but Loggins feel a bit shoehorned in , and theconstant Danger Zone referenceswere well without the cameo .
s6e7 - Nellis (7.8/10)
This episode sees the gang wind up in Area 51 under pretenses , leading to all form of fun hijinx with alien and military fellow while Archer uses his name as a verb like never before .
It had a fun boxed - in Skytanic vibe but did n’t live up to the writing of the early seasons , and after time of year 5 took thing in a unlike way , and almost act as a finale to the show , time of year 6 feel a little play out , forcing them to go in a fresh direction yet again .
s7e8 - Liquid Lunch (7.8/10)
This episode focalise on Archer and Lana ’s relationship as woodlouse sends them on another doubtful mission . The friction between Archer and Slater grows as well . Meanwhile Krieger drugs and hypnotizes almost everyone in the power and films the termination .
Archer and Lana are both expectant character , but they ’re also tough the great unwashed , and there are only so many ways their on - again / off - again relationship troubles can certify themselves , so their kinship is n’t very interesting or investable . It ’s decipherable that if Archer changed enough for Lana to accept him he would n’t be Archer anymore , so all her travail are just noise .
s3e11 - Skin Game (7.7/10)
In this instalment , Krieger brings Archer ’s bushed ( or near enough ) bride-to-be Katja back to living as a bionic woman . Archer is thrilled that the love of his life sentence has returned , but shin to master his phobia of cyborgs . Once he does , Barry prove up on the scene , and after a cyborg battle turns into cybersex , Katja runs away with Barry .
Ultimately the bet were a little too broken even for Archer , what with Katja ’s Resurrection of Christ and Barry ’s unconvincing account for not killing Archer .
s1e4 - Killing Utne (7.6/10)
As with season 2 , nearly every episode of season 1 is prime Archer , so this installment ’s crime is plainly not being awing enough . In this sequence , Mallory invites U.N. Ambassador Torvald Utne round of golf for dinner with the hopes of securing a contract bridge .
She hires 2 German mercenary to make a phoney assassination attempt so Mallory can appear to salve the day , but unbeknownst to her , Nicolai Jackoff has hired the same 2 mercenaries to actually kill Utne , lead to one of her more resilient dinner party .
s4e5 - Viscous Coupling (7.6/10)
In this episode , we get more family relationship drama with Katja , but Archer ’s boring when he ’s in dearest because he ’s always on his best behavior ( hisbest , a relative terminus ) , be it with Katja or when Lana starts to go baby crazy .
After leaving Barry stranded in space in the finale of season 3 , Archer is approached by Katja , who ask for his service in bringing Barry home . Both Barry and Archer utilise the chance to try and get with Katja and have the other killed .
s8e5 - Archer Dreamland: Sleepers Wake (7.2/10)
This episode was an interesting piece of the Dreamland puzzle and bit more relatable than the instalment that lead it . Archer finds a way , as he always does , to mess up up a simple dealings , in this case , a ransom interchange , while a rogue ' Dutch ' Dillon step his game up a snick .
Unfortunately , the episode was given too much of the over - arching story to bear to effectively state its own . They had sport with it but the plot to comedy symmetry was out of whack .
s10e1 - Archer 1999: Bort The Garj (7.1/10)
The second half of Archer ’s run did n’t really live up to the first one-half . You could even indicate the second quarter did n’t survive up to the first , but even though they never recapture the genius of the first few seasons , the show get some energy back when it conceded the initial convention was moth-eaten and started going in bluff new directions .
regrettably , the season 10 premiere laid it on style too dense initially . There was barely a laugh in the prologue , making it quite shuddery to see , and the rest of the episode did n’t tuck much funny steam .
s9e3 - Danger Island: Different Modes of Preparing the Fruit (7.1/10)
Season 9 startle very slowly . The overall plot made for an interesting puzzler , but 3 episodes in they ’d still barely laid any pieces down .
There was some interesting fiber stuff happening with Fuchs and Princess Lanaluakalani as well as Archer and Pam , but it was getting frustrating how little the story was moving as we come near the halfway head . And while the dialogue was a shade of its formerworld - beatingself , the action mechanism was a luck of fun and gave us some undecomposed quondam fashioned Archerization .
