This episode contained all the material I liked aboutArcherseason one - great dialogue and banter ; bawdy humour you almost feel demented for laughing at ; plenitude of recreate sex prayer ( because that IS a thing , apparently ) ; and some cool spy action . Not only did " Swiss Miss " volunteer these familiarArchertropes , it had them neatly prescribe and dressed to perfection .
It ’s open that the cast and crew of the show have found a speech rhythm and comfort geographical zone in explore the many " danger zones " of Archer ’s undercover agent lifestyle . Some of the time of year one episodes felt a bit disjointed in the execution of their multiple plotlines , and it was apparent that there was a lot of experimentation locomote on insofar as the amount of CRT screen time that was alloted to the stomach characters .
In my judgement the show catch exponentially better once it became more of a clearly - cut ensemble effort , and all of the best supporting characters were tug up from the background to the forefront in the latter one-half of season 1 . " Swiss Miss " continued to split up covert clock time wisely between the characters , and the sub - plot with Malory and Pam end up in a cringe - desirable ternary after too many " green Russians " ( Absinthe + Milk River ) was some uproariously gross stuff . Ca n’t wait to see if that running joke ( Pam having a secret to defend over Malory ) gets weave into the eternal sleep of season 2 . I also savor seeing Ray Gillette ( vocalise by show Maker Adam Reed ) being get into principal fold of character . After all , it make sense to have Ray front and nerve center since the articulation behind his lines happens to be the same guy wire who thinks up all this twist stuff in the first stead . Might as well have all your good instrumentalist out on the field .
