Seyfried shine in her role as Karen Smith , the kind but unquestionably not the smartest of the Plastics . Mean Girlsis remembered as one of the most iconic films of the early 2000s and Seyfried ’s Karen played a key part .

Paramount ’s adaption of the hitMean GirlsBroadway will star Renee Rapp , from HBO’sThe Sex Lives of College Girls , as Regina George . Rapp played Regina George on Broadway and is set to return as the ultimate mean missy in the young adaption . Angourie Rice is playing neophyte Cady Heron , Moanavoice actress Auli’i Cravalhohas been annunciate as the new Janis Ian , and Jaquel Spivey joins her as the other one-half of the duo , Damien Leigh . The remain members of the Plastics will be played by Bebe Wood and Avantika Vandanapu .

Tim Meadows will also be reprising his role from the original movie as Mr. Duvall , the principal in charge . While it may seem like a big ask , this new cast look up to the Book of Job with not only returningMean Girlsalums but experient thespian who can definitely deal a yoke of Plastics .
